We did the forests first and saw the monkeys. They were very vocal and actually sounded like sirens. It was cute.
We parked by the monkeys for several minutes since the kids were so fascinated with them. Eli kept pointing, but he mostly just stared at them wondering why Daddy was in the cage with the monkeys. After all, he does sound just like them! Jack was asking, "Is Uncle Jonny in there with the monkeys?!"
We then headed on to check out the zebras, giraffes, rhinos, and the elephants. Eli was impressed. :)
Finally we headed to the Oceans, which I was most looking forward to (air conditioning!). By the time we pushed the strollers inside this is what had come of Eli:
After the Oceans we packed all three kids back in the car and headed home. It wasn't long into our trip before we had this in the backseat:
We had a blast at the zoo and all three kids could not have been more well behaved. I can't wait to take him again with Daddy so he can see that Daddy isn't really in the monkey cage (even though he belongs in there sometimes!).

Aw, so cute! We had so much fun :)
fun!!! what a CUTE group of kids!
I love that picture of them sleeping in the backseat. Classic.
They are Gibbons, not monkeys, and if you really want to hear them sit in the parking lot at 6am. That is mating time! I'm sure Jon was just playing hookie from work and he actually was in the "monkey" cage.
