Flash

So I've already failed my challenge as I haven't taken any pictures the last two days. Apparently I have a nasty respiratory virus that has had me out of commission. I still feel pretty lousy but though I better get back to business. :)

My friend Kathy is a hobbyist photographer. She recently got a flash of her own and suggested pointing the flash either behind or to the side, rather than towards the subject. I took this one with the flash pointed 90 degrees sideways from Eli and at a 30 degree angle towards the ceiling. I really like how it lights up his face well but isn't too bright. It's more of a natural effect.
